Klopfenstein's English Shepherds

We live on a family farm in Paulding County Ohio and raise corn, soybeans, wheat, and hay.  As well, we feed out cattle and hogs, and have a small flock of layer chickens.  Our livestock also includes horses and 4-H sheep/turkeys.  

 

Our dogs play an integral part of our everyday lives.  They are involved in the daily chores, provide companionship for each of us indivdually, and keep an overall watch on the farm.  More than once they have allerted us of escaping livestock and have assisted in putting them back where they belong.  They are also quick to let us know of visitors arriving. 

 

We are thankful for God's many blessings, including the opportunity to be among His creation daily.  It is pretty incredible to see how He has created different instincts in each of the animals.  Even though the dogs are not human and don't think as we do, they are highly sensitive and teachable to what we are trying to accomplish.
